The artist Laureen Topalian traveled to Armenia in 2011, with a sketchbook and a box of watercolors in hand.

Drawings captured on the spot during his journey or works worked on more extensively in the studio based on old photographs, portraits of Armenians, these works represent the stages of a real and imaginary journey, an identity quest resembling a travel diary.
